How We Rated
Every Christmas, we decorate our house and garden (as well as the office) with a range of outdoor lighting and over the years, we’ve accumulated a variety of lights.
In terms of decorating our house, we tend to use a mixture of fairy lights as well as a Christmas projector that outputs lasers across the front. We then continue the lights to reach around the garden and also drape LED nets over large hedges or trees. As shown in the image of a tree in our garden, we decided to decorate it with a net as opposed to standard fairy lights due to the fact that it was far easier to do because there is no need to thread fairy lights through each branch.

As well as our experience with a variety of outdoor Christmas lights, we also based our recommendations upon hours of research and a number of factors. Some of the factors that we took into consideration included the design of the lights, construction quality, lighting effects, length and colour options, amount of LED’s per metre, additional functionality, IP rating, warranty and value for the money.
Whilst testing a variety of outdoor Christmas lights, we always try to test all of the functions provided from the remote control. As shown in the video we posted onto our Instagram page below, the Ollny set offered plenty of functionality.
